It was a very special time
He in his wheelchair
And I in my blinkers
Setting out
To put the world to right.

Did we succeed?
Of course not.
But we made a difference
A small one
But a difference
None the less.

We touched lives
Usually for the better
And helped people move on
And how many of us
Can claim that?
